Job summary

Lawyers for Justice, PC in Chicago seeks a paralegal to support attorneys with document preparation, interviews, research, and trial readiness as our caseload grows.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and analytical skills; a Paralegal Certificate and Bachelor's degree are preferred, with 5+ years' experience.

This full‑time, on‑site role offers $30.00–$40.00 per hour, plus benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meets with attorneys, clients, and professionals to discuss cases.
• Drafts legal documents including pleadings and motions; files with procedures.
• Researches statutes, regulations, and case law; provides written analysis.
• Interviews clients and witnesses; prepares summaries of statements.
• Organizes, stores, and retrieves case files; manages document databases.
• Assists with trial preparation and may attend trials/hearings.
• Tracks billable hours and supports general counsel with special projects.
