Job summary

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC is seeking a Junior Paralegal with 1–3 years of experience to support attorneys from case inception through discovery, litigation, settlement, trial and/or appeal. Responsibilities include subpoena preparation, witness interviews, deposition summaries, and trial notebooks, with emphasis on organizing discovery and maintaining accurate time records.

Onsite or hybrid work arrangement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or BA degree with 1 year of law related experience under the supervision of an attorney.
• Positive attitude, highly motivated, a self-starter with strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, reliable and professional.
• Excellent organization skills and high attention to accuracy and details.
• Proficient in MS Word and some knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure.

• Trial responsibilities include organizing and working up case for trial, issuing subpoenas, notices to attend, tracking witnesses, preparation of exhibit and witness lists and binders, preparation of CACIs, preparing discovery notebooks and trial notebooks.
• Required experience in tracking hours and billing time

• Trial responsibilities include: organizing and working up case for trial, issuing subpoenas, notices to attend, tracking witnesses, preparation of exhibit and witness lists and binders, preparation of CACIs, preparing discovery notebooks and trial notebooks.

Requirements:

• Paralegal certificate preferred or BA degree with 1 year of law related experience under the supervision of an attorney
• Candidate must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-started with strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, reliable and professional
• Candidate should have excellent organization skills as well as a high attention to accuracy and details.
• Candidate must also be proficient in MS Word and have some knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure.

Compensation:

$24/hour - $27/hour ($49,920 - $56,160)
