Qualifications

Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules.
Advanced knowledge of online government e-filing systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to provide quality client service and maintain confidentiality.
Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage) and e-filing platforms.
Self-starter capable in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and with teams in hybrid/in-office settings.

Responsibilities

Draft, proofread, and revise legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements under attorney direction.
Conduct factual and legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, summarizing findings for attorney review.
Fact/cite check large briefs according to Bluebook under tight deadlines.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist with discovery proceedings including document collection, review, organization, and production.
Prepare and file documents with federal, state, and local courts, including e-filing where applicable.
Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars; coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely completion.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties under attorney supervision.
Assist in trial/hearing prep, including pretrial disclosures, trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness materials.
Coordinate logistics for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other proceedings.
Review and summarize medical records, contracts, and other case materials.
Enter and track billable time accurately in the firm's timekeeping system.
Coordinate case management from intake through resolution; anticipate attorney/client needs.
Support training of other paralegals and perform administrative duties as needed.
