Job summary

Westlake is seeking a seasoned legal professional to support litigation matters and legal operations. You will assist in managing the litigation docket, handle e-discovery tasks, and organize documents for court submissions while coordinating with outside counsel.

The role emphasizes strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and work as part of a team in a dynamic corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or paralegal certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working with lawyers.
• Advanced experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, and Acrobat.
• Must be proficient in e-discovery software.
• Knowledge of Practical Law Connect and Westlaw.
• Experience with matter management and entity management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing company litigation docket and e-discovery productions.
• Organize electronic and physical litigation documents; file court submissions.
• Prepare engagement letters with outside counsel.
• Support settlements and accruals; assist finance and accounts payable as needed.
• Support various projects including legal research, investigations, IP, and M&A.
• Provide general office support: correspondence, expense reports, travel, meetings.
• Collaborate with team; provide back-up for other members.
• Maintain high standards of organization, communication, and attention to detail; overtime as needed.
