Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders seeks a skilled Paralegal in its Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation group to support attorneys with document prep, research, case management, and client communications. You will handle discovery, filings, and trial prep while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality service.

The role requires 8+ years’ litigation experience, a paralegal or related degree, and proficiency in Westlaw/ LexisNexis, iManage, and MS Office.

• Advanced knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules (federal, state, local).
• Proficiency in online government e-filing systems and electronic court filing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis).
• Strong written and verbal communication, with professional clarity.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, proofread, and revise legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements under attorney direction.
• Conduct factual and legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis; summarize findings for attorney review.
• Perform fact and cite-checking of large briefs per Bluebook standards under tight deadlines.
• Organize and maintain case files; ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Assist with discovery: document collection, review, organization, production.
• Prepare and file documents with courts; utilize e-filing where applicable.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars; coordinate with attorneys.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties under supervision.
• Assist in trial/hearing/arbitration prep and provide onsite logistical support.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations; manage logistics.
• Review and summarize contracts, insurance policies, financial documents for attorney use.
• Maintain detailed case chronologies and document indices.
• Support discovery and case coordination in multi-party matters; manage confidentiality and privilege.
