Job summary

Cedar Tree Native Law seeks a Senior Paralegal to support attorneys in complex litigation across federal, state, and tribal courts. The role requires organization, expertise with electronic filing, and precise handling of fast-moving matters for tribal governments and enterprises.

Ideal candidates will have extensive paralegal experience, strong writing skills, and proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, Adobe Pro, and case management software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of paralegal experience, including 3+ years in federal litigation.
• Strong knowledge of federal court procedures, including CM/ECF filings.
• Familiarity with Tribal Courts preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, Adobe Pro, and case management software.
• Proficiency with Monday.com or other project management software preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and writing skills.
• Commitment to serving Native communities and tribal self-governance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery in Federal, State, and Tribal Courts.
• Maintain litigation calendars and ensure timely filings and court appearances.
• Support attorneys with calendar management, billing, and meeting coordination.
• Coordinate with court clerks, clients, and opposing counsel.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Prepare discovery responses and assemble exhibits for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Oversee discovery timelines and ensure procedural compliance.
• Review documents for production using e-discovery tools and legal databases.
• Provide trial support with binders, witness files, and exhibit lists.
• Conduct legal and factual research and draft case summaries.
• Conduct due diligence and maintain client records.
• Assist with contract drafting, review, and management.
• Track regulatory deadlines and assist with compliance filings.
• Lead training for paralegals and staff on e-filing and related tools.
• Represent the firm’s mission and values in client and court interactions.
