Job summary

Prince William County is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys in multiple units including Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, and line attorneys with jury trials.

The role involves trial preparation, drafting pleadings, and managing the case management database, along with other administrative duties as needed. A heavy caseload requires organization and independent collaboration within a civility-driven office.

Qualifications

• This position requires five years of related experience.
• Must be able to manage a heavy caseload and be organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a civility-focused office.
• Experience in Criminal Law is preferred.
• Understanding the sensitive nature of violent crime cases and advocacy for justice.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to attorneys in Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Juvenile units and jury trials.
• Assist with trial preparation and draft pleadings.
• Manage and update the case management database.
• Assist with additional administrative duties as needed.
