Job summary

Vela Wood Staley Young P.C. in Texas seeks a Senior Paralegal to support corporate matters in our Dallas or Austin office.

You will manage entity formations, closing coordination, document drafting, and governance work, partnering with attorneys and clients. The role requires 7+ years of paralegal experience, strong drafting and document management, and familiarity with cap-table tools such as Carta and Pulley.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of corporate paralegal experience.
• Strong document drafting and management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• Experience training paralegal staff.
• Familiarity with cap table tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate entity formations and maintain corporate records.
• Prepare and file SOS filings and IRS forms.
• Draft and edit closing documents and manage signature collection.
• Manage document workflows and cloud-based file systems.
• Prepare board minutes and governance documents.
• Maintain cap table updates in Carta or Pulley.
