Qualifications

• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience.
• Strong experience supporting appellate litigation, including brief preparation and filing support.
• Proficiency with citation checking and Bluebook formatting requirements.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Experience using LexisNexis and legal research databases.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, organization, and maintenance of appellate briefs and related filings.
• Review briefs and appellate filings for formatting compliance, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform citation checking, validate citation accuracy, and ensure Bluebook compliance.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, legal authorities, and relevant precedent.
• Assist appellate attorneys by identifying relevant authorities and supporting cite-checking requirements.
• Conduct quality control reviews of work product, legal references, citations, and filing materials.
• Use LexisNexis and internal brief repositories to support research and brief preparation.
