This role is intended for a skilled individual contributor who takes on substantial ownership of various legal matters and projects, significantly influencing cross-departmental outcomes. The person is a reliable resource for lawyers on the team, building trust through consistent results and collaboration. This individual is capable of working independently with minimal oversight, and also should serve as a supportive mentor within their team.

• Proactive Research: Demonstrate a strong ability to conduct legal research and support the legal team with thorough analysis of cases and legal documentation.
• Attention to Detail: Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Effective Communication: Cultivate excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, effectively addressing legal inquiries.

Things You’ll Do

This role will support the following areas across the Legal Team: compliance, export controls and sanctions, privacy, litigation, intellectual property, and product.

• Policy Development: Create, implement and update policies as necessary.
• Training and Education: Develop and roll out training programs.
• Research: Proficiently monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations, advising stakeholders, and conducting legal research.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Strong organizational skills in managing legal documents, in accordance with best practice and legal requirements.
• Audit Support: Participate in internal and external compliance, privacy and security audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement methods for streamlining existing processes, while owning longer-term projects for the Legal Team.
• Cross-Functional Relationship Management: Build solid relationships with Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and other teams.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience in a Paralegal or Contracts Manager role
• Previous experience in a compliance, export controls and sanctions, privacy and/or litigation role preferred
• Demonstrated ability with critical thinking and formal writing
