Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Paralegal for a highly respected California-based law firm with a strong reputation for integrity, excellence, and client dedication. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Pasadena, CA. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Paralegal will play a vital role in supporting the firm’s attorneys and legal teams in complex trust and estate matters. This position is responsible for conducting legal research, preparing and organizing documents, coordinating with clients and court personnel, and providing administrative leadership to junior paralegals. Reporting to an assigned Partner or Associate Attorney, the Senior Paralegal will ensure high-quality, detail-oriented support across the full lifecycle of trust and estate cases. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct legal research and investigate relevant case law, statutes, and materials

Prepare and manage legal documents including trust instruments, pleadings, motions, and estate filings

Support trust and estate matters across all phases, from client intake to post-trial or post-closing activities

Oversee and delegate tasks to assigned Paralegals and Legal Assistants, ensuring workflow and accuracy

Coordinate case logistics including scheduling, filings, discovery, and court communications

Maintain organized records and manage confidential materials in accordance with firm policy and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Paralegal certification required

Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Substantial experience supporting attorneys in trusts and estates law or similar areas

Proven ability to lead projects, prioritize effectively, and mentor junior staff

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of professionalism

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experience with legal case management systems is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience of $95,000-115,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, and professional development support.
