Overview

Join a respected family law team in a hybrid setting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, client-focused practice with a strong reputation in family law. Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and factual investigation to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, including motions, briefs, affidavits, and subpoenas.
  • Manage and organize case files, including tracking deadlines, and ensuring all necessary documents are obtained and properly filed.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits, trial binders, and coordinating witness schedules.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties in a professional manner.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and court dates, managing attorney calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in family law and court procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior paralegals and other support staff.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, law, or a related field is required. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law.
  • Knowledge of child support guidelines.
  • Exceptional knowledge of legal research tools and citation formats.
  • Proficiency in drafting and revising legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to continue learning and improving legal skills.
