Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Panel Engineering (UL 508A) to lead the design and engineering function for UL 508A listed panels and engineered panel assemblies across product lines.

The role owns design integrity, compliance with UL 508A and related standards, and day-to-day leadership of a panel design team. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in electrical/panel design are required, with 5+ years supervising others.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in electrical/panel design engineering.
• 5+ years in a supervisory role leading engineers/designers.
• Familiarity with UL 508A, SCCR, NEC/NFPA 70, NEMA, and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering for UL 508A listed panels and engineered panel assemblies.
• Own compliance of panel designs with UL 508A requirements and manage file maintenance.
• Review and approve drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and schematics for compliance.
• Hire, train, and develop panel design engineers and drafters; build leadership pipeline.
• Define competency requirements and lead training to grow team capabilities.
• Oversee workload balancing and resource allocation for panel engineering scope.
• Collaborate with Sales, OEM, and Channel teams on engineered-to-order panels.
• Escalate and resolve complex technical/design issues; manage changes and documentation.
