Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the field or related area.
• General knowledge of building systems and maintenance related to electrical distribution, HVAC, plumbing, Life/Safety, boilers, chillers, emergency power, UPS, pumps and motors.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Prior Casino/Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with laws/regulations affecting casino and racing industry.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent customer and employee relations.
• Written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be physically mobile with the ability to carry up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds; ability to maneuver stairs and around hotel areas.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, varnishes, and stains to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and filling holes and joints.
• Prime surfaces as needed and select appropriate paint.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain woodwork, drywall, ceiling tiles and related structures.
• Lead and direct work of others when required.
• Read blueprints and provide support across Facilities Department.
