Job Description - Senior Painter (2500574)

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Senior Painter at our Saginaw, TX plant.

As a Painter at Trinity, you will prepare, coat, and finish metal and other surfaces. You will operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes, and mix/apply alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies, and waterborne paint systems per prescribed formulas.

The Painter adjusts spray gun nozzles for proper spray dispersion and monitors paint flow and viscosity.

In this role, the Senior Painter:

• Expertly applies exterior coatings via spray and/or hand-held methods
• Seals and bakes final interior and exterior coatings
• Applies interior primer coats
• Prepares surfaces for painting
• Applies primer or initial exterior coats
• Prepares and mixes paint
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• May participate in safety committees or initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned
