Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Paint Associate Level 4 for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). This role performs liquid painting using air-assisted spray equipment, manages paint thinners, and operates powder coating systems.

You will read shop drawings, control coating thickness, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of painting experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and will be forklift-certified within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industrial liquid painting experience including mixing and thinning paint and spray equipment.
• Lift 20–40 pounds for 40% of the shift; occasionally 50-pound containers.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and finish specifications.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook or similar).
• Commitment to safety and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate liquid paint spray equipment and maintain spray gear.
• Apply polyurethane coatings with plural component spray equipment.
• Perform deglaring of galvanized poles after proper chemical prep.
• Operate electrostatic powder coating equipment and troubleshoot.
• Use gauges and meters to verify thickness and conditions.
• Run cranes, forklifts, and packaging equipment safely.
• Read shop drawings and reference finish specs.
• Raise, move, and position parts weighing up to 50 pounds; stand for long shifts.
• Maintain a clean, safe painting area and follow PPE rules.
