Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Paint Associate Level 1 to prepare and paint products, ensure high-quality finishes, and package finished items for shipment. The role requires operating blasting and painting equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe work area.

The position offers first shift hours, standard manufacturing duties, and opportunities to train others in packaging and finishing techniques. Prior experience in painting or manufacturing is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to work in a team and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Hang and unhang parts such as light poles, arms, bases, and small components.
• Blast products to achieve proper blast profile and clean surfaces.
• Inspect finished poles for visual quality and package for shipment.
• Operate painting, blasting, rigging, and packaging equipment safely.
• Maintain and clean paint booth and application system.
• Wear PPE and follow safety regulations at all times.
