Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH is seeking a Senior Paint Process Engineer to lead automotive paint operations for new model launches. You will coordinate feasibility studies, pilot trials, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery.

This role requires a mechanical/chemical/industrial engineering background, 2+ years in automotive paint or related manufacturing, and strong CAD/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of automotive new model development or industrial paint manufacturing experience.
• Solid understanding of automotive paint application, pretreatment, electrodeposition, and robotic systems.
• Proficiency in CAD viewing software, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools.
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead paint engineering activities for minor and full vehicle model changes across North American facilities.
• Review product designs and collaborate with R&D styling to ensure paint shop manufacturability.
• Coordinate paint trial runs, establish Specified Action Plans (SAP), and track project KPIs.
• Manage paint tooling, robot pathing adjustments, and equipment budgets to meet cost targets.
• Lead cross-functional launch meetings with production, plant leadership, and external material suppliers.
