Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Packaging Operations Senior Packaging Engineer in Whippany, NJ to lead packaging development and protection initiatives across the US. You will drive on‑time project delivery, create cost‑saving improvements, and manage technical transfers to factories and CMOs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to defend brands and improve supply chain performance.

Qualifications

Education: Packaging Engineering Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent).
Experience in packaging development, including creation, development and delivery of new packaging and maintenance of launched packaging.

Responsibilities

Assume remit for business protection & maintenance activities with on-time, in-full project delivery.
Develop packaging solutions using in-depth technical knowledge across shopper, customer, channel, brand and financial factors.
Collaborate with US Product Supply & Development Center to inform packaging strategy and recommendations.
Transfer information effectively to factories/CMOs and ensure cross-functional alignment.
Develop external and internal partnerships to optimize supplier selection, cost savings, and manufacturing efficiency.
