Barilla is seeking a seasoned Sourcing Manager to lead packaging materials procurement for the US and Canada, ensuring supply, quality, cost, and innovation in alignment with company policy. This hybrid role is based out of Northbrook, IL, with travel required to domestic and international sites.

You will influence supplier strategy, drive cost savings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, Technologies, or Finance; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years in purchasing of paper-based packaging including corrugated and folding carton procurement.
• CPG (food focus) experience with cross-functional project management in a global environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate across multiple functions.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Define, implement, and maintain the sourcing strategy for defined categories.
• Keep updated market analyses for cartons and corrugated.
• Develop budgets, rolling forecasts, and target savings.
• Identify and pursue cost savings while balancing risk and benefit.
• Design contract negotiation strategies (RFQ, RFI, etc.).
• Guarantee compliance with purchasing policy and procedures.
• Establish relationships with suppliers and market stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project leaders for new product packaging changes.
