Job summary

Adept Group is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for a Senior Scientist, Packaging role in Lewis Center, Ohio. This hybrid position focuses on leading packaging development for PET and HDPE bottles, closures, labels and shrink sleeves, with domestic travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate will independently manage complex projects, apply technical packaging expertise, and collaborate across functions to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7 years of relevant packaging experience within the CPG industry desired.
• Experience with PET or HDPE bottles, injection-molded closures, labels, or shrink sleeves.
• Strong technical understanding of packaging materials and development processes.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex packaging projects and deliver results.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a startup-minded environment.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging development projects from concept through implementation.
• Apply technical expertise across PET/HDPE bottles, closures, labels, and shrink sleeves.
• Independently manage complex packaging assignments, priorities, and deliverables.
• Identify technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to support packaging initiatives.
• Drive project execution and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel domestically as needed to support packaging activities and business objectives.
