Job summary

Rael is seeking a senior packaging and retail production designer to join the creative team in Culver City. This hands-on role focuses on packaging artwork, prepress, and retail visual merchandising, transforming complex requirements into flawless final artwork for launches, displays, and kits.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and the Korea partners, bringing ideas to life with precision, accuracy, and brand consistency across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in packaging design, artwork production, prepress, and retail or print production.
• Expert-level Adobe Illustrator proficiency with complex packaging and dielines.
• Thorough understanding of packaging workflows, color management, and printer requirements.
• Experience producing retail displays from shelf-level elements to large fixtures.
• A portfolio showing strong design sensibility and technical packaging work.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily packaging artwork updates including copy changes and ingredient lists.
• Adapt designs to new dielines, sizes, and formats; maintain brand consistency.
• Create packaging artwork for new product launches and retail displays.
• Build and finalize Illustrator mechanical files with accurate dimensions and color separations.
• Proof artwork against copy, specs, and printer requirements before release.
• Collaborate with Korea team and manufacturers to resolve dieline and production issues.
• Review proofs and adjust for print quality and color consistency.
• Maintain organized working files and archiving with version control.
