Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Sr. Package Development Engineer - Level II to lead packaging projects and develop SME expertise. The role requires guiding teams, applying packaging principles, and collaborating with customers and suppliers to drive new products to market.

You will mentor engineers, manage packaging specs, and coordinate testing to ensure durability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in packaging development and project leadership.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of DOE, SPC and statistical analysis.
• Experience with packaging materials, testing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple packaging development projects across business units.
• Develop SME expertise in technical packaging issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive packaging improvements.
• Coordinate testing, CQV events, and documentation of specifications.
• Evaluate packaging trends and implement sustainable packaging solutions.
• Manage packaging data analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
• Provide coaching to junior packaging engineers and technicians.
• Utilize MRP/ERP systems to manage packaging materials and inventory.
• Stay current with industry regulations to drive innovation.
