Job summary

kdc/one seeks a Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer to own and optimize high-speed filling and packaging operations from concept to production validation in Columbus, Ohio. You will lead OEE initiatives, drive capital projects, and mentor the engineering team, delivering tangible improvements and value.

This role emphasizes ownership, technical influence, and visible impact on manufacturing performance, with collaboration across Operations, Maintenance and suppliers on critical capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline required.
• 7+ years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Strong experience with high-speed filling and packaging equipment.
• Proven track record of improving equipment performance and OEE.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM and continuous improvement.
• FDA-regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP/CPM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment engineering and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Manage capital projects from concept through FAT, installation and validation.
• Drive equipment improvements to increase throughput, reliability and quality.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen and TPM initiatives.
• Support new products, processes and capacity expansions.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, customers and equipment suppliers.
• Lead projects with capital investments up to $25M.
• Mentor engineers and technical team members.
