Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Component Package Engineer for a Large Consumer Manufacturing Client in Summit, NJ. This onsite role requires a minimum of two days per week on site and drives end-to-end packaging development documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a packaging engineering degree, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and proven protocol-writing ability to support design, testing and scale-up activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Sciences or Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience writing protocols.
• Able to work onsite a minimum of 2 days per week in Summit, NJ for the entirety of the W2 contract assignment.
• US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or H4/GC EAD Visa holder able to work directly on Insight Global's W2 without subcontracting, C2C, or 1099 agreement.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, testing and production scale-up of new package development.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, market research, supply chain, process excellence and other departments.
• Develop and route package development documentation including specifications, assessment and trial protocols.
• Lead development and assessment of information such as risk assessments, test plans and results analysis.
