Job summary

Institute of Packaging Professionals in Summit, NJ seeks a Component Package Engineer to join our team onsite at least 2 days per week. You will support design, development, testing, and scale-up of new packaging projects.

Role requires a Bachelor's in Packaging Sciences or Engineering and 5+ years of manufacturing experience; you will write protocols and work cross-functionally across R&D, marketing, supply chain, and more. W2 contract, 12-month term, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Sciences or Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience writing protocols.
• Packaging Component experience.
• Able to work onsite a minimum of 2 days per week in Summit, NJ for the entirety of the W2 contract assignment.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, testing and production scale-up of new package development.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, market research, supply chain, process excellence and other departments.
• Develop, write, gain cross-functional alignment, and route for approval package development documentation.
• Lead the development and assessment of information to support packaging development and lifecycle management, including risk assessments and test results.
