Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc is seeking a Packaging Engineer II to lead development of high‑quality, cost‑effective packaging solutions that protect products and promote the brand. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Compliance, Legal, Quality, and external vendors to deliver packaging that meets SPI and internal standards.

The role requires a strong design background, CAD proficiency with SolidWorks/ArtiosCAD, and experience with PLM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering and 3–6 years of experience required.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, formats, and processes; SPI experience preferred.
• Ability to create packaging CAD drawings and specifications; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple packaging development projects concurrently.
• Interface with Marketing, R&D, Compliance, Legal, Quality and vendors to define packaging needs.
• Create cost‑effective packaging designs that are innovative and meet requirements.
• Ensure packaging releases align with production timelines.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to assess costs and lead times; issue prototypes.
