Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Senior Associate, Packaging Engineer to lead development, testing, and implementation of new packaging solutions across North America. You will provide technical guidance for launches, enhancements, and line extensions while ensuring sustainability and supply chain resilience.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for success. The role reports to the RD&E Manager and offers opportunities to contribute to packaging innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in packaging engineering, packaging science, or related with 4+ years in packaging development.
• Advanced degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging development for projects across the North America Region including primary, secondary, and e-commerce packaging.
• Create robust specifications for packaging components, finished goods, and pallet factors, with accurate BOM setup.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to establish timelines, lead technical discussions, and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Focus on growth, sustainability, cost-saving, and process improvements.
• Complete technical deliverables accurately and on time.
• Perform packaging performance testing and line trials; document results.
