Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Senior Associate, Packaging Engineer to lead end-to-end packaging development across North America including primary, secondary, and e‑commerce formats. You will develop robust specifications, partner with cross‑functional teams, and drive risk mitigation and project milestones.

The role focuses on growth, sustainability, and cost reduction, with responsibilities spanning validation, line trials, and packaging‑related investigations to ensure on‑time delivery and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering, packaging science, or a related engineering discipline with at least 4 years of product or packaging development experience; or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging development for projects across North America including primary, secondary, and e-commerce packaging.
• Create robust specifications for packaging components and BOM setup.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to establish timelines and mitigate risks.
• Focus on growth, sustainability, and cost‑saving initiatives while following technical processes.
• Develop validation plans, perform line trials, and document results in reports and ELNs.
• Lead cross‑functional investigations to resolve packaging issues and protect production schedules.
