Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Plainwell, MI to design, develop, and test packaging for new and existing products. You will collaborate with product design and manufacturing to ensure cost-effective, compliant packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, 3+ years packaging experience, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD). Knowledge of ISTA/ASTM standards and packaging materials is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD for packaging design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging with product design and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials and equipment for cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging-related issues.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and testing protocols.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for packaging processes and materials.
• Ensure all packaging complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
