Job summary

SKIMS Beauty seeks a highly creative Senior Packaging Designer to shape and execute packaging vision across its growing beauty portfolio. You will translate the SKIMS aesthetic into a distinctive packaging experience, collaborating with Creative, Product Development, Marketing, Operations, and external partners to deliver elevated, production-ready packaging.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in packaging design, preferably beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, or luxury brands.
• Strong portfolio showing packaging concept development, structure thinking, and production execution.
• Experience designing both primary and secondary packaging.
• Deep knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes.
• Proven ability to move concepts from ideation to production-ready files.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative packaging concepts across SKIMS Beauty, including primary packaging, secondary packaging, sets, gifting, promotional packaging, and special projects.
• Translate the SKIMS brand identity into a distinctive and cohesive packaging language for Beauty.
• Create concepts from ideation to detailed design development, mock-ups, and final production.
• Explore form, material, color, finish, typography, graphics, and functionality to elevate packaging.
• Balance creativity and innovation with functionality, commercial viability, cost, sustainability, and production requirements.
• Create compelling presentations, renderings, and prototypes to communicate design concepts to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Maintain consistency across the portfolio while evolving the SKIMS Beauty packaging identity.
• Translate creative concepts into technically viable packaging solutions with knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and manage dielines, mechanical files, artwork, specifications, and production-ready files.
• Review prototypes, samples, color proofs, materials, finishes, and production submissions to ensure execution matches vision.
• Partner with Product Development to troubleshoot technical challenges and identify solutions.
• Understand components including glass, plastics, metals, paper, cartons, labels, closures, pumps, and applicators.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail throughout development and production.
• Collaborate with Creative, Product Development, Brand Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, and Production throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with external packaging suppliers, manufacturers, agencies, and production partners to deliver results.
• Work within timelines, budgets, and launch calendars while maintaining a high creative standard.
• Present concepts, recommendations, and solutions to senior leadership.
