Job summary

Institute of Packaging Professionals in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Senior Packaging Designer to lead packaging concepts from concept through final production. The role requires deep packaging expertise and thorough understanding of prepress and post-production processes.

You will manage dielines, proofs, and production-ready artwork across multiple brands, collaborating with printers, vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of packaging design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design and production work.
• Expert knowledge of prepress, print production and post-production processes.
• Experience creating and working with dielines, mechanicals and production-ready artwork.
• Advanced Photoshop compositing, retouching, and image manipulation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create photorealistic composite imagery suitable for both digital and print production.
• Strong understanding of print specifications, color management, substrates, finishes and proofing.
• Experience working directly with printers, vendors and/or manufacturing partners.
• Ability to independently manage packaging projects from initial concept through final production.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing consumer products company developing and bringing innovative products to market across ecommerce and retail channels. They are looking for a Senior Packaging Designer with deep packaging and production expertise who can take projects from initial concept through final production.

This role requires someone who understands not only packaging design and brand execution, but the full prepress through post-production process and can confidently manage the technical details required to get packaging produced accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Own packaging design projects from concept through final production
• Develop packaging concepts, layouts and production-ready artwork across multiple product lines
• Manage the full prepress, proofing and production process, ensuring files meet printer and manufacturer specifications
• Build and modify dielines, mechanicals and print-ready files
• Review proofs, color, materials, finishes and production samples for accuracy and quality

• Ensure all composite artwork maintains print quality standards, color accuracy, and brand consistency across packaging and product lines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of packaging design experience, preferably within consumer products, retail or ecommerce
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design and production work
• Expert knowledge of prepress, print production and post-production processes
• Experience creating and working with dielines, mechanicals and production-ready artwork
