Job summary

Tetra Pak in Denton, TX seeks a Senior Design Developer to lead packaging design for U.S. customers. The role involves translating client artwork into reprographic files, ensuring brand consistency, and driving end-to-end design improvements.

You will collaborate with marketing, product development, and vendors, lead design seminars, and ensure adherence to printing specifications while maximizing print quality and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Printing, Communications, or a related field with 7 years of experience.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and ArtPro for converting artwork into repro files.
• Typography and color theory design principles to enhance brand identity.
• Packaging design on various substrates, including paperboard and foils, with flexography, offset and digital printing.
• Using WebCenter to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop the design of packages for our customers in the U.S.
• Act as a Business Expert for the U.S. and Canada design area with market region.
• Translate customer artwork into reprographic orders meeting guidelines and company specs.
• Drive end-to-end design improvements.
• Support design developers with graphical knowledge and new releases.
• Lead internal and external design seminars and training and convert artwork files to proofs.
• Pre-flight and complete design evaluation of customer artwork files.
• Ensure printing specifications are followed and production efficient.
• Understand customer intent and translate to repro instructions to maximize print quality.
• Secure design consistency for brand/family designs.
• Visit customers and agencies to discuss design and print specs and share best practices.
• Lead the common agenda within design handling and World Class Manufacturing deployments.
