Job summary

Tetra Pak in Denton, TX is seeking a Senior Design Developer to lead packaging design for U.S. and Canada. You will translate customer artwork into reprographic files and drive end-to-end design improvements, ensuring quality and brand consistency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in design or a related field and 7 years of experience in printing. Travel is ~5% domestically and internationally, with telecommuting two days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience converting customer artwork into reprographic files meeting brand requirements.
• Typography and color theory skills for brand identity.
• Packaging design and production on various substrates including paperboard and foils.
• Experience using WebCenter to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability translate customer intent into technical instructions and guide design improvements.
• Color proofing and end-to-end design workflow management.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop the design of packages for US customers and translate artwork into repro orders per guidelines.
• Drive end-to-end design improvements and support design developers with graphical knowledge and new releases.
• Lead internal and external design seminars and training; propagate new printing technology or specs to teams.
• Ensure pre-flight checks and complete design evaluation meet all requirements and specifications.
• Secure design consistency for brand families and verify customer intent is fulfilled.
• Visit customers/agencies to discuss design and print specs and share best practices.
