Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Senior Packaging Design Engineer to lead our packaging design shared service for Transmission and Distribution infrastructure. You will collaborate with business unit engineers and operations packaging teams to drive packaging CAD, testing, and development for new products.

You will develop cost-conscious, reliable packaging solutions, implement design procedures for the T&D SBUs, and identify savings opportunities aligned with productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in packaging design.
• Demonstrated capability with CAD/packaging design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk).
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Ability to walk on the shop floor and lift 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging design for Transmission and Distribution infrastructure products.
• Execute packaging CAD, testing and evaluation for new product development.
• Develop and implement packaging design procedures aligned with Hubbell goals.
• Identify and realize packaging savings opportunities in line with productivity plans.
• Organize training on product packaging designs for engineers.
