Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Engineer in Packaging Engineering to join the Combination Product Operations team. You will deliver technical work across packaging configurations, materials, and platforms, ensuring compliant and scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain while driving risk-based decisions and lifecycle activities, contributing to site start-ups and technology transfers.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s with 2+ years engineering experience required.
• Bachelor’s with 4+ years engineering experience required.
• Associate’s with 8+ years engineering experience required.
• High school diploma with 10+ years engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Own technical deliverables for projects, components, or platforms with quality and compliance.
• Develop, implement, and improve packaging platforms for product supply and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate and sustain packaging components, materials, and processes for pharmaceutical products.
• Apply engineering judgment to solve moderately complex problems in materials, equipment, and manufacturing interfaces.
• Identify risks, drive timely resolution, and elevate with context and solutions.
• Lead or support tests, qualification activities, and change controls.
• Support technology transfers from clinical to commercial and site-to-site packaging configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant packaging solutions.
• Manage priorities, dashboards, and timelines; communicate progress clearly.
