Job summary

PCI Pharma Services seeks a Senior Package Designer to support the development and launch of innovative packaging designs for lifesaving medicines. You will work with CAD tools, coordinate R&D and prototyping in the Design Lab, and lead intern/co-op efforts while ensuring manufacturing readiness.

Reporting to the Design Supervisor, you will collaborate with Sales, Estimating, PM, Purchasing and Engineering to deliver on time and within budget while maintaining lab safety and equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7–10 years of related experience or training.
• Basic Mathematical Skills.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to operate various software programs.
• Full professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities with minimal standardization.
• High standard of report writing.
• ArtiosCAD training or proficiency is expected.
• Experience with SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of packaging programs including production function and capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify and implement new structural packaging designs using CAD tools.
• Ensure packaging designs meet operating methods and machinery compatibility.
• Create packaging components and systems; prototype and transfer designs to samples.
• Coordinate lab resources, manage prototyping and testing.
• Assess current packaging systems and recommend optimal solutions.
• Analyze cost reduction opportunities in packaging design and materials.
• Develop innovative, patentable package designs and track industry trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, PM, Purchasing, Engineering and other teams.
