Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking qualified P&C Technicians in Ohio to support installation, testing, operation and maintenance of protection and control equipment across stations and associated systems. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology or related technology field.
• No previous work experience required for P&C Technician II.
• Minimum 24 months satisfactory work experience as a P&C Technician II or equivalent for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in acceptance and installation tests on protection, control, and measurement devices in stations.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and operation of all power line carriers, station SCADA, and related communications equipment.
• Perform switching under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
• Maintain test equipment and other equipment in safe working order so work can be performed safely and efficiently.

Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology or related field
