Job summary

GSD Search, LLC is seeking a Senior P&C Application Engineer to support and enhance core applications powering our Property & Casualty insurance business. The role blends advanced SQL development, enterprise application configuration, production support, integrations, and project work.

You will collaborate with business users, technology teams, and vendors to support policy administration and document management platforms, while preparing for a future policy administration solution.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development experience with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience supporting, configuring, or administering enterprise SaaS or business-critical applications.
• Experience troubleshooting production application and data issues.
• Ability to understand relational databases and investigate application behavior through data.
• Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with third-party software vendors.
• Experience in structured ticketing, change-management, and production-support environments.
• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance or another insurance environment.

Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries to investigate application and data issues.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures and SQL-based extracts.
• Support reporting and operational data requests.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and production issues.
• Work with SQL-driven reporting tools, including Microsoft Report Builder.
• Support existing database functions and triggers as needed.
• Configure enterprise applications used by the P&C business.
• Manage application configuration, workflows, user access, and business rules.
• Troubleshoot and determine whether problems are configuration, data, integration, or vendor-related.
• Support policy administration and related insurance workflows.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding users; document configurations and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in projects involving enhancements, new functionality, and system changes.
• Work within Jira and ServiceNow to manage tickets and projects.
