Job summary

The University of Kansas seeks an IT Support Technician Senior (Second Shift Lead) to act as the senior overnight operations resource within the NOC. You will provide technical leadership and oversee night shift activities to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the university's technology infrastructure.

You will lead after-hours incident response, coordinate major issue resolution, mentor NOC staff, and serve as the primary escalation point while administering monitoring

Qualifications

• Two years of experience monitoring enterprise systems, networks, applications, or infrastructure.
• Experience leading projects or serving in a senior technical support role.
• Proven ability to mentor and train staff on procedures and escalation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-hours incident response and escalation for overnight operations.
• Coordinate incident resolution, communications, and escalation activities.
• Provide advanced after-hours IT support and troubleshooting for core systems.
• Mentor NOC staff and oversee shift performance.
