Job summary

REI Co-op in Tigard, Oregon is seeking a Sr. Store Sales Specialist to be the face of the Co-op, engaging with Members and Customers daily and serving as a knowledge hub on products, equipment, and services.

You will guide a team of Retail Sales Specialists and help shape an outdoors-focused retail experience with REI values guiding daily work. The role emphasizes talking with and assisting customers, stocking and merchandising, and mentoring new staff while maintaining high customer-service

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer services experience preferred.
• Open availability for a flexible schedule.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to accept feedback and align with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage in REI Sales and Service Training to drive sales.
• Prepare store: stock, coordinate stocking process, handle merchandise.
• Adjust visual presentations to inventory levels, new products, and promotions.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels.
• Train and mentor new staff
• Partners with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations
