Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a Sr. Store Sales Specialist to be the face of the Co-op in Timonium, MD. You will interact with REI Members and Customers daily, serving as a wealth of product knowledge and guiding fellow sales specialists.

You will support training, merchandising, and visual presentation while working with Department Managers to meet goals. The role emphasizes outdoor passion, customer engagement, and collaboration with a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer services experience preferred.
• Open availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Enjoys communicating and building relationships inside and outside the organization.
• Open to feedback and other viewpoints to support the business.
• Uses business understanding and judgment to solve problems.
• Produces quality work by setting goals and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in REI Sales and Service Training to drive sales.
• Prepare store: stock, coordinate stocking process, handle merchandise.
• Adjust visual presentations to inventory levels, new products, and promotions.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, price accuracy, and product stock levels.
• Train and mentor new staff.
• Partner with Department Managers to achieve goals and daily expectations.
