Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking or shipping/receiving.
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations for a 50-door freight facility.
• Manage up to 20 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet a production schedule.
• Utilize independent judgment to build loads based on available labor and freight.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and trailer weight.
• Provide leadership to drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production to meet/exceed KPI goals.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment per DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in service to customers.
