Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an Operational Improvement Senior Technical Expert to optimize outage costs across planning, execution and closeout. You will act as a senior technical authority, using field execution expertise and operational data to identify, prioritize and eliminate avoidable costs while preserving safety, quality and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years in power-generation field service or outage execution.
• Expertise in Operational Improvement, Continuous Improvement, or Project Controls.
• Experience reducing operational costs in complex field environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Willing to travel 35% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and prioritization of outage-cost drivers across planning, execution, and closeout.
• Perform root cause analysis on cost overruns and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Define and support standardized outage practices, including tooling, staffing, sequencing, and work scopes.
• Translate field data into quantified cost-saving improvements with measurable impact.
• Engage with field teams to capture improvement opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
