Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an OT Infrastructure Solution Architect in Austin, Texas with 16+ years of experience to lead and validate OT infrastructure architecture across networks, identity, and security. Collaboration with client teams and site stakeholders is required to ensure solutions meet security and operational standards.

The role emphasizes architecture reviews, migration planning, and design authority in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows/Linux OS, DNS, DHCP, NTP, DFS in OT environments.
• Knowledge of storage, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.
• Expertise across OT platforms and industrial network security.
• Ability to align OT infrastructure with Purdue Model principles.

Responsibilities

• Understand and validate the OT infrastructure architecture and technology stack.
• Collaborate with client architecture, program stakeholders, site teams, security teams, and SMEs to capture requirements.
• Assess current-state site environments and identify dependencies, constraints, integration needs, and migrations.
• Validate target-state OT infrastructure architecture across network, identity, access management, endpoint management, security tooling, and operations.
• Define network segmentation strategy aligned with Purdue Model principles across enterprise IT, site operations, industrial DMZ, and control layers.
• Provide architecture guidance for secure IT/OT integration with approved security/operational standards.
• Validate integration architecture for Active Directory, Privileged Access Management, PKI, endpoint protection, SCCM, and related services.
• Review designs, build documents, high/low-level designs, migration plans to ensure alignment with architecture.
• Act as design authority for architecture queries, decisions, exceptions, and deviations.
• Identify risks, gaps, security concerns, dependencies, blockers and drive resolution.
• Support governance forums, design reviews, architecture walkthroughs with clear recommendations.
• Ensure deliverables are scalable, secure, and aligned with standards and timelines.
