Job summary

OneZero Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Subject Matter Expert, Equivalency, to lead OT/ICS cybersecurity reviews in the maritime domain. You will evaluate equivalency requests, justify regulatory alternatives, and prepare detailed analyses for USCG review. This senior role acts as a technical escalation point and assists with complex waiver requests.

The position requires DoD 8140-certified expertise and strong NIST/ISA knowledge, with emphasis on MTSA-related engagements and COI disclosures.

Qualifications

• Seven years of hands-on OT/ICS cybersecurity experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of NIST CSF and ISA/IEC 62443 for OT/ICS.
• Understanding of OT networks and maritime systems.
• Security Certification meeting DoD 8140 DCWF requirements (CISSP/CISA/CISM).
• Advanced OT-focused certifications such as GICSP.
• Disclosure of any COI related to MTSA-regulated work.

Responsibilities

• Review equivalency requests and assess regulatory requirements and safeguards.
• Determine if proposed alternatives meet or exceed required security levels.
• Apply government methods and produce preliminary approval recommendations.
• Prepare review packages and draft technical analyses for USCG.
• Draft signature-ready correspondence for government review.
• Assist with complex waiver requests and cybersecurity plan reviews.
• Serve as escalation point for OT and ICA questions from review teams.
• Perform quality control to ensure findings are clear and traceable.
• Support maritime OT cybersecurity training for review personnel.
• Suggest improvements to review processes, checklists, and templates.
