Job summary

OneZero Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert, Equivalency to lead regulatory reviews of OT/ICS cybersecurity in maritime contexts. Remote role within the United States with occasional government coordination.

The role demands seven years of hands-on OT/ICS cybersecurity, expert knowledge of NIST CSF and ISA/IEC 62443, and certifications such as CISSP/CISA/CISM and GICSP. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass Tier 1 background checks.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of hands-on OT/ICS cybersecurity experience.
• Expert-level knowledge applying NIST CSF and ISA/IEC 62443 to OT/ICS environments.
• Expert-level understanding of OT network architecture and security controls.
• At least one DoD 8140 DCWF Security Control Assessor certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, or CISM).
• At least one advanced OT-focused cybersecurity certification (e.g., GICSP).
• Must disclose organizational conflicts of interest related to MTSA-regulated assets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical reviews of equivalency requests and evaluate regulatory compliance.
• Assess whether proposed alternatives meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Apply government methodologies and scoring to produce recommendations (Approve/Approve with Conditions/Deny).
• Prepare consolidated review packages and draft technical analysis for USCG review.
• Draft signature-ready correspondence and supporting justification for government consideration.
• Support complex waiver requests and cybersecurity plan reviews as assigned.
• Serve as senior escalation point for OT/ICs questions from review teams.
• Ensure findings are well-supported, traceable, and internally consistent.
