Job summary

Slate is hiring a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing OT Specialost to lead the design, implementation, and security of industrial control systems in our U.S. automotive manufacturing environment.

You will bridge IT and plant floor Operations Technology to ensure reliable production through secure, scalable OT infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining OT assets, enabling IT/OT integration for real-time analytics, applying NIST/IEC frameworks, and driving continuous improvement on line

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees count as additional qualification.
• 8+ years OT/ICS experience; automotive exposure preferred.
• Strong PLC/SCADA/HMI and networking knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Systems Management & Maintenance of OT assets (PLC, SCADA, MES, ERP) on the plant floor.
• Design secure IT/OT data pathways and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Implement OT cybersecurity frameworks and perform vulnerability assessments.
• Troubleshoot OT hardware/software issues and provide on-call support.
• Lead or support capital projects and train maintenance staff on OT systems.
