Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Systems Deployment Engineer to lead OT infrastructure deployments, focusing on edge computing, Linux administration, and automation. You will bridge digital and physical operations, ensuring uptime, reliability, and safety in mission-critical environments.

You will architect and implement automation with Ansible, Bash, and Python, manage time-series databases, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Systems Engineering or IT/OT integration deploying infrastructure in industrial environments.
• Expert Linux administration for enterprise deployments at scale.
• Automation frameworks: Ansible; scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby.
• Industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, and secure architectures.
• OT data flows into IT apps and related protocols.
• Agile development with JIRA and strong Git practices.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end OT infrastructure deployments at operational sites.
• Develop automation frameworks to streamline deployments.
• Design, deploy, and manage OT databases for high-frequency data.
• Oversee hardware lifecycle and capacity planning for edge systems.
• Ensure uptime, reliability and safety prior to handoff.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Stay current with OT tools and industry practices.
