Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Dayton, OH, seeks a Senior Technical Advisor for the USAF OsUAS program. You will guide development, testing, procurement, and fielding of Group 1-3 sUAS, serving as a trusted technical advisor shaping engineering decisions and acquisition strategy.

Requirements include a Top Secret/SCI clearance, travel up to 25%, and leadership experience in defense acquisition. On-site work at our Dayton facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or closely related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive technical and leadership experience in defense acquisition or program oversight.
• Experience conducting technical analyses and engineering trades related to UAS system or subsystem capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with government offices, senior leaders, and cross-organizational technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Senior Technical Advisor to the OsUAS portfolio, providing independent assessment and guidance across development, test, and procurement of small UAS systems.
• Provide expert technical judgment to inform program-level decisions, including system design trades and risk assessments.
• Foster collaboration across government, SETA, contractors, and FFRDC partners to deliver high-quality technical assessments and decision-support products.
• Engage Aerospace experts in autonomy, orchestration, EO/IR, EW, communications, PNT, mesh networking, LIDAR, and related areas to address challenges across multi-use UAS platforms.
